Ferdy Karto is an actor, film & theater maker and writer. He previously published, among other things The Astonishments of Stork Mayfield and the children's book De Kroepoekmummy. The Firmament In Between is his debut as a poet. In this collection, Karto plays with meaning and sound and with the possibilities of language to reveal and conceal. In his struggle to capture experiences in words, he sometimes touches the numinous, only to fall into unbridled playfulness a moment later. But maybe that's actually the same thing...
