Somewhere in a waiting room full of worries Mother Head and Little Son are sitting. Through the drawing of Zoontje, full of elegant lines and splashes of paint, Lies Van Gasse takes the reader into Mother's head's brain. Everything is swarming there: ants, bees, termites, buffalo worms and mealworms. But also the musings of a well-known singer, the notes of the Butterfly Researcher and the insect stories from a children's book. While Mother Head worries and Son enjoys the cricket orchestra, more and more critters crawl across the pages. Van Gasse directs her gaze to the world of creeping, prowling and buzzing animals, but isn't she mainly confronting us with the big life around it?
