The 44 is an anthology with the most beautiful poems from the bundles submitted for the Herman de Coninck Prize 2023 . For this fourth edition, the jury of the prize also selected 44 strong, sparkling, caressing or sometimes abrasive poems that will result in a new anthology. On March 21, 2023 (World Poetry Day) this beautiful sample of what Dutch-language poetry has to offer was published.
With poems by Joke van Leeuwen, Ester Naomi Perquin, Marieke Lucas Rijneveld and Mustafa Stitou, among others. The anthology was compiled by the jury of the Herman de Coninck Prize 2023: Uschi Cop, Mojdeh Feili, Kristien Hemmerechts (chairman), Sophie Kok and Wim Opbrouck.
