Phillip Huff
I Sign Out, I Sign In is Philip Huff's debut poetry: a collection of poems on subjects as diverse as family, nature, city life, technology – and love: 'Love after you: a bird that never lands, a swift – a hurried animal.' Philip Huff (1984) published four novels (What You Know of Blood, Book of the Dead, Nobody in Town, Days of Grass), a collection of essays and a collection of short stories. He also wrote and directed the short films Bosrandgeluk and Het kamp, the latter based on a story by Maartje Wortel. Huff has previously published poetry in Hollands Maandblad and Het liegend rabbit. "Confrontational, furious, tender, beautiful." Ellen Deckwitz 'Strong, visual poems with a striking, melancholic atmosphere, accurately and lovingly rendered. Philip Huff close with a sharp eye and a warm heart.' Mischa Andriessen
