Lamia Makaddam

Lamia Makaddam's poetry is the outcome of struggle. Raw images are followed by eruptions of tenderness, a dance of incantation in which loved ones, lovers and partners are held, released and buried. No one is innocent in love. Lamia Makaddam can't get around her sentiment, but also can't get over her desire for revenge, so the revenge becomes a sentimental affair, hot-blooded.
