Simones and Diana
Simones and Diana
Liesbeth Lagemaat
High above the earth, Lord Crow looks down on the mob. He is not very impressed by the Earth, until he notices Dianina, who goes through life dreamy and therefore more awake than many a human child. Her walk becomes intertwined with that of Simones, an equally fleeting soul. Contemplating the world and humanity, they try to get a grip on existence.
Simones and Dianina tells a story about being, non-being and everything in between. There is a plan behind everything. At least, in the world that Liesbeth Lagemaat creates in her new, breathtaking epic poem.
Liesbeth Lagemaat's poetry has been awarded several times. She received, among other things, the C. Budding' Prize, the Karel van de Woestijne Prize and the Grand Poetry Prize.
