B. Zwaal is a poet who shows the world in all its facets with a grandiose power of language, not only as a natural phenomenon but also as an erotic appearance, as the sea, the water, the woman, the colors and scents of everything tangible.

His work, which he has published in a quiet regularity since 1984, has now been collected in sea cuts, which also include the previously unpublished collection of general average. Poems of a few words, poems of no more than two lines, poems with long lines that seem to fall off the page in abundance. Poems in which the whole world is shown as new.
